Mark Feneley is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at University College London Hospital, and Senior Lecturer in Urological Oncological Surgery at University College London. He has been a Consultant Urologist for 12 years, with broad urological experience and particular expertise in urological oncology. He is a core member of the Urological Oncology Multidisciplinary Teams in hospitals where he works and leads for Bladder cancer. He consults privately at The London Clinic, and attends several HCA hospitals in London.
Patients consult Mark for urological advice, investigation and treatment, including second opinions. He performs most routine urological operations and has particular experience in endoscopic urological surgery and open pelvic surgery. In his field of expertise, he also undertakes medicolegal work.
Consultations encompass a wide variety of urological symptoms and conditions, including general urological practice, andrology (male health), and a specialist practice in urological cancers which includes screening. His perspective and international experience ensure a balanced discussion of benefits and risks in relation to an individual’s personal needs, priorities and sometimes significant constraints, particularly when alternative interventions need consideration.
For men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), voiding difficulties and urinary retention, Mark has substantial experience with laser treatment as well as transurethral resection of the prostate. Laser surgery is becoming a popular procedure when surgery is required and when more conservative approaches with medication and lifestyle modifications have been unsuccessful.
